Mid January I was invited to test this unique fondue pop-up location at the rooftop terrasse of the Small Luxury Hotel Ambassador à l’Opera in Zurich together with Christina from “New in Zurich”, Justyna from Extra2Style, Tobi from Foodwerk and the hotel director Michael Böhler. He started to manage the Ambassador a year ago and enriches the place with innovative events such as the „Genuss hoch 12“, which I attended last September or this pop-up fondue tent at the hotels roof top.

You and your friends, family or clients take the elevator to the top floor and follow the sign „The View“. Beautiful wooden stairs take you to a middle floor, where some XXL fake-fur coats are waiting for you. Make sure you take them, we unfortunately discovered them only in the very end! They look so funny and are super warm. From there you climb some even smaller stairs up to the magnificent roof top. Hot mulled wine and the most amazing view over the lake of Zurich, the Opera and the famous Grossmünster is awaiting you.
After the aperitif, you and your guests are invited to take a seat the heated igloo tent and to enjoy a rich cheese fondue with two kinds of bread and cold cuts.
After that you chose if you want to have the dessert on the rooftop or conclude the evening with coffee and digestives at the hotel bar.
