12 courses, 8 wines and 4 rooms, that sounds like variety, entertainment and mainly delight, in german „Genuss“…or more precisely „Genuss hoch 12“, delight to the power of 12.
This is the name of an incredibly great happening, that took place at the Utoschloss, the small Luxury Hotel Ambassador à l’Opéra in Zurich two weeks ago. The renowned hotel did not only get a new manager, Michael Böhler, who renews certain areas of the Hotel, he also called this innovative gastronomy concept into being.
It is kind of a circuit through the hotel, that leads you to different areas of the hotels, to a hotel room, to the restaurant, to the roof top terrace, to the patio, and at each location you can enjoy tasty, surprising and interesting delicacies, that are prepared by internationally known cooks. At every stop you can also choose between red and white wine usually presented by the wine-grower himself.
I am unable to name the evenings highlight, every course was a highlight in itself, but I got deeply impressed by the cheese buffet prepared by the Jumi Company, that presented every single cheese to every single guest.
The evening concluded with a nice congnac, cigars, music and interesting conversations.
